Summary:

In part of being a little bit different on this blog than the standard blogs I’ve seen out there, I’m actually going to blog about services that we (shock and horror), actually use!

Yes, I may shove in the odd, fully-disclosed affiliate link if need be (I need our beer money*, after all), but if there’s no affiliate programme, we’ll still blog about it. Why? Because we actually want to help you make a sweet blog, rather than just fleece you for every penny.

One such service I love is the subject of this article – the awesome Blog Design Team.

Fact – I’m bloody terrible at designing, so when I was beginning to outsource things associated with my blog, one of the first things to get outsourced was the design of the blog. After testing a load of services (including Digital Point, Fiverr, 99 Designs and more), I was recommended Blog Design Team.

I first tried them on the logo for You’re Supposed To Be At Home. For that I had a colour scheme and a rough idea of what I want the logo to look at. Within 48 hours they came back to me with two designs, one of which was perfect and I used it.

Next I tried it with Blogging Dojo – this website. I really didn’t have a brief beyond one colour “Red”. Sure enough they turned out a logo I was happy with. A quick email back and forth and I got all the files (a Photoshop file for editing, the fonts, and a PNG file for immediate upload to the blog).

The price comes in at $39, which is insanely reasonable for a logo. I highly recommend them as my main logo designers, as their work is of a consistant quality.

* Deliberate grammar screwup, I drink for two.
